Data Transfer Workbench(DTW) is tool which is provided by SAP and used in order to migrate data from legacy system to production system and for massive importing operations.
You may need to delete some data on table’s field. In order to do this, you can use slash sign(/).
Let us look at an example.
You have one thousand Items and each of them are set default warehouses. After going-live, client filled-in change request form and would like to set default warehouses based on users, not Items. In order to execute this scenario you have to not set default warehouse on Item level but you should set default warehouse based on user defaults. In our scenario, we need to remove default warehouse selection on Item level and we can not spend our time to remove manually. If you use DTW and leave default warehouse column blank, system does not change anyhing In Item Master Data. You would see that old set default warehouse is still there.
At this point you should use slash(/). If you Import your data by using this, system remove default warehouse In Item Master Data.
